Terms and Conditions

Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes prior to your appointment without prior arrangement as this may disturb other grooms in process or the entrance door may still be locked. We also request you’re not late for your appointment as we may not have enough time to fit your groom in. Please call 0423767233 if you know you may be late to discuss.

You will receive a text message once your dogs groom is complete. We ask that dogs are picked up within 30 minutes unless alternative arrangements have been made - After this time late pick-up fees of $10 per 15 minutes or part thereof will apply. We also request you do not turn up early to pick up your dog as this can disturb the grooming process and the groom may not be able to be completed. If you do arrive early, please wait outside where your fur baby can not see you and await your pick-up message (Do not pop your head in the door). Incessant barkers must be picked up immediately after their groom. 

Coats with excessive mats or knots may incur an extra charge. Your desired groom may not be possible if your dog’s coat is matted or knotted. We will not brush out bad matts/knots as this is distressing for your fur baby and can scare them off future grooms. We'll cut/shave matts & knots out as neatly and carefully as possible to give your dog a fresh start. Please note: Whilst extreme care is taken, skin irritation, scratches and cuts to the skin may occur due to knots/matts and you absolve Shar’s Dog Grooming Salon of all responsibility if this occurs. 

If your dog is difficult to groom we may not be able to complete your desired groom, however, we will endeavour to still make your fur baby beautiful. Extra charges may apply for additional grooming time.

We reserve the right not to groom or complete the groom of dogs exhibiting aggressive behaviour. Charges may still apply.

To ensure the health and safety of all dogs in our care, Shar’s Dog Grooming Salon cannot accept dogs with fleas. If your dog is found to have fleas upon arrival, we will be unable to proceed with the groom. If fleas are discovered after drop-off, you will be contacted immediately and asked to collect your dog as soon as possible. In such cases, the full grooming fee will still apply.

We recommend treating your dog for fleas before their appointment to avoid any inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

We do NOT offer anal gland expression, as this should be performed by a licensed veterinarian.

In the event of an emergency, in your absence, you authorise Shar’s Dog Grooming Salon to contact the nearest Veterinarian and authorise the Vet to treat the pet as necessary at your expense.

It is your responsibility as a pet owner to inform the groomer of any known pre-existing conditions.

Puppy package must be used up 6 weeks from the first visit, the reason why for this is because your puppy needs to be coming regularly to get use to myself and everything in my salon.

At time of booking 60% deposit payment is required and then the remaining is to be made at the time of pick-up. Payment can be cash, debit card or credit card

​Unfortunately, due to an excessive number of last minute cancellations/postponements and no shows, upon booking, a $50 deposit is required per dog to secure your appointment. Free cancellation/adjustments up until 48 hours of your booking, any cancellations after the 48 hour period will void your deposit & will require a new deposit to book for any future appointments. I know things happen and I will take some situations in to account. We thank you for your understanding and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. ​Shar’s Dog Grooming Salon will always do their best to protect the health, wellbeing and safety of your dog whilst on premises. You acknowledge that accidents can and do happen and you hereby absolve Shar’s Dog Grooming Salon and its groomer(s) & Trainees from any and all responsibility involving, injury, escape, damage or disease during and after their grooming appointment.
